T-shirt Project

i chose this t shirt because it relates to the Simpsons theme of my t shirts. i like this t shirt because it has a design of Bart Simpson on it and looks like he is staring right at you. I think bart is cool and hip so i should add him to my blog.

  

i think this Homer Simpson T-shirt was very funny as well because you see him drooling. I like the way the artist has done the design inside homers head. This is cool because it adds effect to the t shirt. If he/she could improve this t shirt, they should choose a different coloured t shirt.

I like these t shirts because they both look retro and cool. This is good because they bot fit into my retro gaming theme so they will be good. The pac man is good because it is red in a yellow t shirt and pac man should really be yellow. I like the way the T shirts are simple like retro games are simple. I also like the game controller. it is good because it looks detailed and looks really nice to use.

I like this Eminem t shirt because this also fits in with my 3 final designs. i like the way slim shady is in the picture and the word Eminem in above him. I like the way the letter E is spelt backwards and coloured red. This is good because it makes it stand out in front of all of the other letters. I like the way Slim shady has got it like he has a un in his hand but it is just his hand.

Renewable Energy

What is it?

Renewable energy is a source of energy that is able to be used forever and does not pollute the earth or environment in any way. This is good because we would be able to have electricity and energy without living in a polluted world and we could live in it forever.

Wind Energy

This is a really simple type of energy source. All what happens is wind blows through the wind turbines, causing the turbines to make energy. Here is a picture of a wind turbine making energy

Solar power

The power of the sun. This power gets used by one big fiery gas ball in space. If we didn't have the sun, we wouldn't have solar power. This is more complicated because the sun uses light beams to hit mirrors people place down to make lasers what create energy. This is called the photoelectric effect.

The band Suede

this band created a good photoshop album known as coming up and used lots of creative techniques in each part.

This album, known as coming up, has been created in photoshop and used many different techniques. they used image layering, text tools and the pencil tool for all the images and texts. and to use the background they added a gradient from yellow to black. 

They also have added different rainbow colours to the peoples bodies and hair. They did this by using effect tools as well as using select tools to put the people on as layers. They changed the colours to make it look more creative to the

From this image of the album coming up, i can see he used many tools. he has used a gradient tool to make the background turn darker as it goes down. he also used the paint brush tool to write coming up on the album. these are good because  they show creativity and make it stand out.

Peter has taken images and maybe used the magic wand tool to take away the background of the images. He taken a photo of two people and a mattress and edited them by using effects on each one. for example the woman has different colours all over her and the man has colour on him as well.

they used the text tool to type in the word suede in the top right hand side. this has been edited by changing the colour of it to make it fit in with the colours.

he will have used the erase tool for making the people fit onto the mattress and to erase some of the background. this is good because it makes the picture look more professional.

they may have used the crop tool to make it fit in to the picture ad changed the size of the pictures. this is good because they need to fit in to the picture. another tool they have used is the layer tool. they used this by sorting the background at the back and the words coming up in the front. last of all, they put the images in the middle

Background

The background has a colour going from yellow to black. This is good because it makes it not look like they are sticking to one colour in the background. They did this by using the gradient tool and selecting the two colours yellow and black. afterwards they made a box and drew a line going down to make the gradient go downwards. the person on the mattress has the same colour trousers as the background which makes him blend into the background.

Rainbow people

Two of the people on the album do not have ordinary colours on them - this is because they have been edited with the gradient tool as well as the background. The woman on the album has been edited with the colours yellow and blue and been edited in a different type of gradient. She has been used with the yellow being mixed up with the blue and adding traces of purple to make it look more creative.
The other person has yellow and pink inside him and also has been used with the gradient tool to make him look freaky.

GREENWASHING

 

what is greenwashing?

Greenwashing is when a company hides the pollution in their product what they are trying to sell. This is bad because it makes people think differently and make them buy the product without them knowing how bad it can pollute the world.

 

 

 

 

 

This is a poster of greenwashing because the flowers show that it looks eco-friendly. The trees and animals also make the car look like it doesn't harm the environment when the car actually does.

Why is greenwashing a problem?

This character below is a mascot of greenwashing and makes it look like people are nice with the environment. As you can see from the character, he is holding a paintbrush with green paint. This is showing that he is greenwashing products to make them look environmentally friendly. They also put a halo on his head to make him look innocent and saying that it is the truth when it isn't.

 

 Greenwashing History

 In the mid 1960s, the environmental movement gained momentum. This popularity prompted many companies to create a new green image through advertising. Jerry Mander, a former Madison advertising executive, called this new form of advertising "Eco pornography." this means that this man was totally against greenwashing.

 

 

Tommy Penton

Tommy penton was a famous graphic designer for 10 years. He has been doing famous work; like illustrating and painting work.

Tommy's work shows a smart and fresh approach to the perspective of art. his style of work is very unusual but humours a lot of people.

I think tommy penton is a great person because of his art work. I think this because he has created lots of them.

these are my favourites because of how colourful and eye catching they are and also look very unusual yet funny to the eye. the cat is good because it looks like a whole loads of colours put together. I like the building because it looks colourful and looks unusually edited.

Neville Brody

I think Neville Brody is a very good graphic designer and works well with magazines. I like the way he created the face magazine and how he worked in many different places.

the face magazine is very interesting because it always has a "FACE" on the cover of the magazine.

Article 1

this article is about a graphic designer named David Lynch

he was born in Los Angeles in 1946. I think David is good because he makes great films and directs great television shows.

article 1 is also about art and talent and how it passed through colleges in London. the magazine is also about Nottingham Trent university. I like this article because it tells you information on David lynch and also tells you about more information. I also like the way they presented it in the article and how they put in the information.

Article 2

this article is about a person known as Jurriaan Schrofer.

the restless typographer, known as Jurriaan Schrofer is in the creative review magazine and a very good typographer. He created books world wide and is also a graphic designer. I like the way he is a graphic designer and typographer but I don't think creating books is very creative or very good with designing.

Article 3

This article is about how advertising has changed in the world and how books are being published. I also like the way they are adding characters into the article as well. advertising has changed from giving out papers to television shows. books are being published a lot more than usual as well.
